Please Tell Your Friends!

At the time of this writing, we have 75 donors committed to making a $100 donation at the Voting Event on Wednesday night. We expect that this number will grow within the next week, but we would like to ask for your assistance in promoting the initiative to help us try to reach the 100 donor mark. Should we exceed 100 donors, monies in addition to the $10,000 prize will be awarded to the second place project.

If you would like to become one of the 100 Elliot Lakers Who Care!, visit www.elliotlake100.com and use the signup form at the bottom of the page, or send an email to imin@elliotlake100.com.

Attendance at the November 21st Voting Event

We are asking that only voting donors attend the voting event. To be clear: $100 receives 1 vote and 1 attendee to the voting event. We anticipate that the capacity of the Maple Room will become a factor, and we are trying to limit the number of attendees to only those who really need to be there.

There will be a cash wine bar at the voting event, as well as cheese plates provided for the attendees.

The 5 candidate projects will each be making a 10 minute presentation to familiarize the donors with their projects.

If you are a donor, and can not attend the voting event on Wednesday November 21st at 6:30, please contact imin@elliotlake100.com to obtain a proxy form.

Voting Process

Voting will be conducted by paper ballot after the project pitch session on the night of the voting event. We have arranged for scrutineers to oversee the vote count.

Receiving Payment

The Rotary Club will be asking all donors to register at the entrance door to the Maple Room, and will be collecting either $100 cash or a $100 cheque with a blank recipient from each donor as they enter the room. After the donor vote, The Rotary Club will turn over the donation money to the successful project's representative.

Project Follow-up

We would like to follow-up with the successful project as their project progresses in order to communicate progress updates to the 100 donors via email. From time to time, we will be contacting the project representative to see how things are going until the project is realized, and sending out an email to the donors.

Thank you, Elliot Lake for supporting in this initiative.
